Membership FAQ's

I have a membership that includes sailing, there is plenty of space in my boat - can I bring a friend?

This is one of the areas we are having trouble quantifying with membership.  Offically your membership is for members only and is not transferrable.  However, this is an area where current policy is to turn a blind eye and monitor the situation.  If it becomes a problem we will sort out a more rigid set of rules (i.e.  you get so many passes per year to bring a free guest then they cost X each). At the moment it is an occasional event and we do not feel the need to do anything about it, but we reserve the right to firm up the rules if it becomes excessive or if some members are abusing it.

I have just taken out and paid for a full years membership and have broken my leg. What happpens now?

We are not ogres!  Where there are extenuating circumstances we will pause your or your families / groups memberships until a more suitable time.  This will be considered on a case by case basis, and a suitable restart time can be negotiated.  If this applies to you see Natasha for a chat.

Im coming to the lakes for a fortnight, can I have a short term membership?

This is a question that has been asked often, and is something we would like to introduce.  The problem at the moment is that a membership can be paid for by as little as 8hrs hire, and we are having difficult quantifying what a fair fee for shorter term members would be.  Please contact us if you are interested in this possibility!
